The Time of My Life by Nora Phoenix
I love this author and all of her books, this one was no exception...
We find ourselves at your everyday talent show, the usual four chairs situation but it's what's going on behind the scenes that makes this story.
Denver is a music teacher, quite happy with his life but playing is his passion. He has not had it easy and finally seems to be winning his battle.
Judah, cast out by his religious family, music is his life and he needs to win this competition to survive.
When the two meet it's not exactly love at first sight, there is an on and off animosity that neither can work out a way round. Pasts hidden, pain to cope with stops either man from moving forward but luckily lust takes over.
The only trouble is, falling for the other man could end dreams, both personal and professional and neither man knows if they are willing to risk it.
When the past rears it's ugly head and threatens the tentative love that's blossoming, they both know what they need to do.
A book full of passion, from the characters as well as the writer. As always well written and thought out, a brilliant story.
5 out of 5 stars.
