Misdemeanour by C F White
For some reason this book took me a couple of days to read. I think it's because I felt like I was living the situation they were in with them. I really liked both main characters, but also everyone else in the book.
Dan was supposedly the put together, adult type with a good job but he had his vulnerable times throughout which worked well.
Micky was the teenage tearaway who had lived through unimaginable horror and was trying to cope with looking after his younger brother Flynn.
The last thing he needed was for Flynn to be taken away....
As for Flynn, this little boy was an absolute joy to read. Suffering from an illness from birth that had left him weak and small, you never would have thought it because his personality was huge.
You then had the family and friends which gave the book depth, especially Jason, Micky's best friend who had stayed by his side through it all but would he stay if he knew Micky was gay?
All in all I loved it, my only massive grumble is that I didn't realise there would be a cliffhanger and I was ready to throw my kindle when there were no more pages.
Waiting not so patiently for the next chapter and praying there is one....
5 out of 5 stars.
