Captive Hearts (Deviant Hearts #1) by A.E. Ryecart
I love when an author I usually read brings out a new series, I like the anticipation of what's about to unfold and see the way the characters develop.
This was a slight departure to the normal main men that we see in this author's books and I absolutely approve.
For some there may be issues with the abuse that's contained within the pages but it fits with the story and isn't there just to fill up a bit of space.
Dash is one of the main characters, he is strong both physically and ethically and when he stops an assault, he never realised the implications.
Billy was a slave of sorts. To the outside world he was an older man's young conquest but behind closed doors he did as he was told and even that wasn't always good enough to stop the pain. He had his reasons for being there and wasn't looking for approval.
When Dash finds himself being employed as Billy's driver, the two men form an unlikely friendship.
As dangerous as it may seem, Dash finds himself trying to find a way out for both of them....
I am looking forward to book two which will follow the story of another employee. I already have a really good feeling about it and can't wait to see what happens.
5 out of 5 stars.
