As You Wish by Isobel Starling
A very promising start to a new series....
This little novella takes us to a beautiful castle in Scotland where we get to go to the wedding of Annabelle and Oliver.
The story though is about the 2 best men, their brothers Sam and Declan.
They have been emailing for ages about their roles in the wedding but have never actually met, when they realise they have been sitting next to each other on the plane, things aren't as easy going as the messages had been.
Sam is gay and as far as Declan is concerned, he isn't.
That was until he met Sam.....
For some reason he is instantly drawn to him and wonders if this is maybe why he has never been satisfied with any of the women he has hooked up with and certainly never wanted to settle down with any of them.
We follow their story as they get to know each other in the most intimate of ways, Sam showing Declan exactly how much fun he can have if he lets himself go and gives in to his urges.
We witness the strained relationship between Sam and his father and learn the reasons why....
Has Declan finally found his future and will he be able to deal with the secret that forces Sam to leave him at short notice.
I can't wait to see what happens in the next 2 books and I know that we wont have to wait long for them.
This was a very pleasant, short read and very well written.
4.5 out of 5 stars.

"1 wedding, 2 best men, one hell of a love story!
Declan Ramsay's brother Oliver was marrying Annabelle Aiken at a fairytale castle on the banks of Loch Ness in Scotland. The bride and groom decided, so that he didn’t feel left out, that Annabelle's gay younger brother could share the best man duties with Declan.
Declan had never met the kid who was to be his joint best man. Sam Aiken was abroad, working as an interpreter and finishing his studies. He wouldn’t meet Declan until a few days before the wedding, so the best men communicated and planned their speech by email for more than a year. But on meeting Sam Aiken, Declan is surprised to realize the kid isn't a kid at all, but a tall, blond and athletic young man. Declan is alarmed by the ferocious attraction he feels for Sam. And as the attraction is reciprocated, the events at Dunloch Castle change everything Declan has ever believed about himself.
But is Samuel Aiken all that he appears to be?"
